University Hospital

The entire Koya University Medical Centre campus has grown at University Campus. Our central location on the Medical campus offers our medical students unique opportunities. Koya University Hospital, the Basic Science Building, Medical Library yields an ideal coordination of research and clinical facilities. This physical and functional relationship among medical research and academic facilities creates an integrated, comprehensive educational environment unavailable at other university.

The newly build Koya University Hospital was opened in 2012 and is a 100-bed teaching facility with an average census slightly over 80 patients, offering clinical programs in all specialities and sub-specialities and is composed of three sections: the Main Hospital, Care Centre and Education section. The education consisted of two lecture rooms, medical physics lab, an anatomy laboratory, and SMED administration unit. The hospital is regulated by Ministry of Health in Kurdistan Region.
